Acre Housing has appointed Four Star to undertake several projects on its behalf over the past decade.  These have ranged in value from £50K – £65K over the last three years.  As one of our preferred contractors, Four Star undertake refurbishment and modifications to properties purchased by the charity.  This entails upgrading and modify the accommodation so that it meets the needs of people with learning disabilities.  (The schedule of works now excludes the conversion of bathrooms to wet rooms, where Acre Housing has chosen to use a specialist contractor). When work is commissioned by Acre Housing, the timeframe is often critical so that the lives of people we support are not disrupted unduly.  Four Star have always worked with us in a very positive and flexible way to accommodate those needs.  The general cooperative and friendly nature of the workforce makes the relationship a pleasurable one from our perspective.  On a personal note I have often been indebted to the Project Manager for the informal advice on building matters given freely.”   Jennifer, Style Acre

We used 4 Star Construction for a single storey extension in 2010. The quality of the construction, the attitude of the workers on site were all excellent and Terry was more than helpful in discussing ideas to get the details right, and was very accommodating when delays occurred with the delivery of folding doors via a third party. We would not hesitate in recommending 4 Star and would consider using them again in the future. The completed extension was subsequently inspected by the Federation of Master Builders who confirmed the quality of workmanship to be to their standard.

We used Four Star C and R Ltd for the complete modernization and refurbishment of our home. Terry and his team did a thorough job to ensure a high level of work throughout, from masonry, electrics and plumbing, to high level of finishes in the kitchen, bathrooms and beyond. They are a very polite and courteous team, who proved to be efficient and reliable as the work proceeded, capable of resolving issues as they arose and adapting to changes as the project moved along.
